‘This Queer Angel’ & others stories…

…although don’t let the word ‘story’ mislead you into thinking ‘This Queer Angel’ is a work of fiction. Astoundingly, this is a true story. In February we shot this promo for Elaine Chambers’ remarkable, autobiographical work about one woman’s campaign for equality in the armed forces:

Later in February we journeyed up to Gloucestershire to shoot a promo for J. M. Pascoe’s children adventure story, Ursula and Banderas. Film fans will know that the 2010 Australian film The Tree was based on her previous novel Our Father Who Art in the Tree. And Red Dwarf will know her Camille from the show’s fourth series (and now married to Kryten himself, Robert Llewellyn, in real life):

But we kicked off February with this shoot for Emily Hill’s Bad Romance – the perfect antidote to Valentine’s!

And on an incredibly windy day in Hampton Court, we visited Caroline Ross to talk about her remarkable illustrated version of Paul Kingsnorth’s The Wake:

There’s also this photographic promo for @hrtbps’s photographic collection, Grand Britain. We decided to keep this film visually uncomplicated to concentrate on the images and so create a soundscape instead:

And finally, here’s our promo for Ian Ridley’s timely novel The Outer Circle, shot on a frosty morning in London…
